Problem

When adding or editing Price Categories (Ticket Types) on Services, certain fields do not appear in the interface even though they have been added to the Price Category page layout in Salesforce Setup.

What We Found

Fields displayed when adding or editing Price Categories on Services are controlled by Field Sets, not page layouts. Each Service Record Type (e.g., Activities, Excursions, Hotels) uses a specific field set that determines which fields appear. The mapping between Service Record Types and their field sets is configured in Kaptio Settings > Service & Package > Service Record Types.

Solution

  1. Identify which Service Record Type you’re working with (e.g., Activity, Excursion, Hotel, Transfer)
  2. Go to Kaptio Settings > Service & Package > Service Record Types to find which Price Category field set that record type uses (e.g., Activities use ‘Activity Price Category Fields’, Excursions use ‘Excursions Price Category Fields’)
  3. Navigate to Setup > Object Manager > Price Category > Field Sets
  4. Click on the appropriate field set name for your Service Record Type
  5. Drag the desired field from the available fields section at the top into the ‘In the Field Set’ section below
  6. Click Save
  7. The field will now appear when adding or editing Price Categories on Services of that record type

Notes

  • Each Service Record Type can have a different field set assigned, allowing customization per service type
  • Fields can be rearranged within the field set to change their display order
  • If you need the same field visible across multiple service types, you must add it to each corresponding field set
  • Changes to field sets take effect immediately - no deployment required
