Problem
Services with UOM set to âvehicle(s)â were not creating Itinerary Services or Itinerary Price Lines when a room occupancy was set. The customer had set Max Room Occupants but the services still werenât pricing correctly.
What We Found
For services with UOM âvehicle(s)â, the system requires Max Unit Occupants to be set instead of Max Room Occupants. The Max Unit Occupants field was not visible in the price category configuration because it wasnât included in the appropriate field set.
Solution
- Go to Setup â Object Manager
- Search for and select âPrice Categoryâ object (NOT Service object)
- Click on âField Setsâ in the left menu
- Open the âActivity Price Category Fieldsâ field set
- Add the âMax Unit Occupantsâ field to the field set
- Save the field set
- Now when editing Price Categories for vehicle-based services, set Max Unit Occupants instead of Max Room Occupants
Notes
- Max Room Occupants is for accommodation-type services (rooms/hotels)
- Max Unit Occupants is for vehicle-type services (transfers, activities with UOM âvehicle(s)â)
- The field set is on the Price Category object, not the Service object
- Customer confirmed the fix worked after adding the field to the field set
Warnings
â ïž Initial support response incorrectly stated the field set was on the Service object - it is actually on the Price Category object
