Problem
Customer reported that when selecting a package in costings, it appears empty even though components (like hotels) have been added to the package.
What We Found
The customer was creating package components directly through the Salesforce UI instead of using the Kaptio UI. Additionally, the Package Lightning page was not configured according to Kaptio recommendations, which prevented components from displaying properly in costings.
Solution
- Configure the Package Lightning page layout according to Kaptio recommendations (see community article: How-to-Configure-the-Package-Page-Layout-for-Lightning-Mode)
- Use the Kaptio UI to create package components - do NOT create component records directly via the Salesforce UI
- Ensure services have a default price category selected
Notes
- Support performed a minimum setup on the Package Lightning page to enable proper component creation for the customer
- This issue commonly occurs during initial setup or when customers migrate to Lightning mode

Warnings
โ ๏ธ Creating component records directly in Salesforce UI bypasses required Kaptio logic and will result in components not appearing in costings
