30-second overview showing the Package Modifications wizard in actionโ opening from an itinerary, selecting modification type, and completing a change.
Package Modifications provides a single entry point for all booking changes. No switching between toolsโone wizard handles everything.
Tour operators face constant booking changes: passengers adding or dropping, room reassignments, service upgrades, date transfers, and full cancellations.
Without unified tooling, agents juggle multiple screens, manual calculations, and risk errors that impact revenue and customer experience.
"Package Modifications" button launches the unified wizard
Wizard shows only relevant actions based on booking state
Review all changes and pricing impact before applying
Every change tracked with user attribution and timestamps
All modification types share a common status lifecycle: In Progress โ Completed or Failed. One flow to learn, one pattern to support.
Change services, options, and itinerary items
The core modification capability allows agents to change package options, upgrade services, adjust itinerary items, and update passenger assignmentsโall while automatically recalculating prices based on new selections.

Change Occupancy Demo GIF
Animated walkthrough: 2 passengers in double room โ 1 passenger removed โ automatic room change to single โ price recalculation
Life changes. Passengers add last-minute travelers, others drop out due to circumstances. Change Occupancy handles any combination of passenger and room adjustmentsโwith smart pricing logic that protects remaining travelers.
Surviving Passenger Protection: When one passenger leaves a shared room, cancellation fees apply only to the departing passengerโnot the one continuing their trip.
2 pax, double room
$4,400 each
Cancellation fee applied
to departing pax only
Double โ Single
Auto-repriced
1 pax, single room
$5,200 (new rate)
Process cancellations with automatic fee calculation
Cancel the entire itinerary including all services and passengers.
Cancel one passenger while others continue. Often combined with Change Occupancy.
Remove individual services, excursions, or specific room bookings.
Cancellation fees calculated automatically based on configurable policy tiers. No manual lookups or spreadsheet calculations.
* Example tiers. Fully configurable per service type, package, and sales channel.

Permission-controlled fee overrides for exceptional circumstances. Every override logged with user and reason.
Move passengers and payments between bookings
When passengers need to move to a different departure date or transfer their booking to someone else, Transfer handles the complexityโmoving payments, calculating hold-backs for non-transferable items, and updating both source and destination itineraries.
All passengers move. Source itinerary marked as transferred/cancelled.
Some passengers move. Source itinerary continues with remaining travelers.
Hold-Back Calculation: Non-transferable items (like travel insurance or non-refundable deposits) are automatically held back. Only transferable value moves to the new booking.
